Loyola is accredited by the State of Louisiana and by AdvancEd, holding this accreditation since 1927. AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. It is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems. This accreditation process assesses schools in seven areas - vision and purpose, governance and leadership, teaching and learning, documenting and using results, resources and support systems, stakeholder communication and relationships, and commitment to continuous improvement.

The Quality Assurance Review team last came to assess Loyola in November 2011, where we earned Highly Functional ratings in 6 of the 7 standards. A ranking of Operational was given in 1 standard, with the explanation that every school has room for improvement in some area. It is rare for a school to get a Highly Functional rating in all categories.

Loyola will undergo accreditation renewal again in March 2017.
