Loyola Graduation Requirements include Completion of 100 Community Service Hours!
Guidelines governing approved venues are distributed each year in the student's Theology classes. It is the sole responsibility of the LCP Student to obtain PRIOR approval of an organization, project, or site of their volunteer service. An official letter from the organization is required for credit of hours worked. Students must attach a completed "Loyola College Prep Service Hour Report" to the organization's acknowledgment of service and submit both to the Service Hour Coordinator. Upon Approval, these hours will be credited towards the graduation requirement of 100 hours and posted to the student's service file.
Basic approval guidelines would include:
*Non~profit organization
*Working with people (especialy those with whom we are not in daily contact; those with special needs, economically disadvantaged, etc.)
Coaching hours are regulated
LCP School Volunteer Credit Hours are limited to 10 per year
• Students are encouraged to seek more than one area of volunteerism to fulfill their 100 hour requirement
