LOYOLA 61, ST. FREDERICK 57: After the game was tied at halftime at 30-all, but Charles Winborne scored 16 of his 29 points in the second half as the Flyers won in Monroe. Eric Gatlin had two 3-pointers and finished with 10 points. LOYOLA 65, EVANGEL 50 (Mansfield Tournament): The Flyers broke open a close game in the second half by outscoring the Eagles 39-26 after halftime. Charles Winborne had 25 points and Eric Gatlin had 14. LEESVILLE 66, LOYOLA 62 (Mansfield Tournament): Charles Winborne scored 36 points, but missed free throws came back to haunt the Flyers against the Wampus Cats. The Flyers missed 13 of 27 free throws and, after leading most of the game, Leesville took over in the fourth quarter. EVANGEL 55, LOYOLA 43 (Mansfield Tournament): In a rematch of a game played two days earlier, the Eagles kept the Flyers to their lowest output of the year. Charles Winborne had 19 points, but no other Flyer had more than seven. Loyola fell behind 24-18 at halftime and never could catch up. |
