MANSFIELD 76, LOYOLA 53: The Flyers had one of the poorest performances of the year, trailing the Wolverines from the beginning and never getting back in the game. Charles Winborne scored 29, but was the only Flyer in double figures. Loyola trailed 44-30 at halftime in the non-district game as Mansfield Jeremy Campbell had four 3-pointers in the second quarter. SPRINGHILL 81, LOYOLA 62: The Lumberjacks showed why they are one of the top teams in Class 2A, scoring 40 points in the first half and taking the win in Springhill. The Flyers got 25 points from Charles Winborne and 10 from Lavar Washington, but made only 5 of 17 free throws. |
