EVANGEL 38, LOYOLA 36: The Flyers had their opportunities in the final two minutes against district unbeaten Evangel, but couldn't come up with the key basket and the Eagles went on to take the win in the ECA gym. The Flyers had two chances to tie the game in the final minute and couldn't convert and fell to 14-12 overall. Abbie Naus and Ginney Pullen each had 12 points for Loyola. Naus and Sarah Abrams each had five rebounds. LOYOLA 59, CALVARY 27: The third quarter told the story as the Flyers outscored Calvary 28-4 and went on to breeze to the victory. Sarah Abrams had 11 points and Ginney Pullen had 10 for the Flyers. Jenny Naus led the way with six rebounds and Megan Rast had seven steals. The Flyers had four 3-pointers in the game, including two by Emily Young. |
