LOYOLA 47, MANSFIELD 37: A big first quarter led the way for the Flyers in the non-district win. The Flyers scored 18 points in the first period and increased the lead to 28-11 at halftime. Ginney Pullen had 13 points and Abbie Naus had 11 to lead Loyola. Both had a double-double as Pullen had 12 rebounds and Naus had 10 and Pullen had nine steals. LOYOLA 45, SPRINGHILL 44: It wasn't an artistic success, but the Flyers came up with the road win over Springhill. Poor shooting (24 percent) and turnovers (18) hurt the Flyers all night. Ginney Pullen had 10 points to lead Loyola, which had to rally from eight points down in the final period. Pullen also had 11 rebounds and seven steals. |
