Flyer Lacrosse

Seven Loyola Flyers were honored as the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL) has announced the 2008 Division-II All-State and All-District & Division-III All-Star Lacrosse teams.    In Division III, the Loyola players named to the team are Alex Carroll – Attack/Mid, John Parker – Defense, Christopher Volentine – Midfielder, Thompson Barro – Midfielder, John Thomas Terzia – Midfielder, Austin Mathias – Attack, and Sam McDaniel – Attack.  

The players selected for All-State and All-District teams will play in the All-Star game on May 17 in Texas Stadium.  The All-Star game is in conjunction with the 2008 Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) National Championship. 

Loyola finished 2nd in Division III, losing in the championship game 12-8 to Colleyville on Sunday. The Flyers won the semifinal on Saturday against Wylie . The head coach is Mike Devita and the Flyers had an overall record of 8-4.
