Alumni Events

Class Reunions

Reunions are held each summer and fall, often in conjunction with homecoming. A typical “reunion weekend” includes a gathering at the homecoming football game, a tour of Loyola College Prep on Saturday followed by an evening event at the home of an alumni or local restaurant. The weekend is often capped off with Mass and breakfast or lunch on Sunday. For more information on upcoming reunions, click here.

Alumni Basketball Game

Every year basketball players from multiple generations come together to put their old skills to the test and raise money for the Loyola basketball program.

Snoopy Shootout

The Snoopy Shootout a newer event and is held each spring at the Shreveport Gun Club. Five-person teams and individuals are invited to compete.

Flyer BBQ

The annual BBQ is held each spring in St. Vincent’s Hall on the Loyola campus. The traditional event is known as the oldest fundraiser in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. The 2019 Alumni BBQ will be on April 6. Please click here to register.

Flyer Golf Classic

The Flyer Golf Classic has been an annual alumni event for nearly thirty years and is held each June at East Ridge Country Club. Alumni from various decades come together for a great day of golf, food and beverages.

The 29th annual edition of the event will be held on Friday, June 14 at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City. Sign up here!

Snoopy Open

The Snoopy Open has quickly become one of the area’s most popular tennis tournaments and is held in the fall.

Open House

Open House is held every November, and alumni are encouraged to volunteer in a school-wide effort to bring in new students to Loyola College Prep.

Homecoming Tailgating Party

The Flyer Alumni Association hosts a pregame tailgate party prior to the annual homecoming football game. Alumni from St. John’s, Jesuit, St. Vincent’s Academy and Loyola gather for food and fun!

Career Day

Career Day is held every other year at Loyola College Prep, and alumni are encouraged and welcome to speak to current students about their experience in the workforce after being a Flyer.
