As the region’s only Catholic private high school, we integrate faith and our Catholic identity into all we do. With weekly mass, religion courses for each grade, and opportunities give back to our community through service hours, we are committed to following the mission “To create men and women of conscience, character and compassion, continuing the Jesuit Catholic tradition of discipline, academic excellence, student involvement and faith in action for ‘The Greater Glory of God’.”
Students have the opportunity to attend adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with their religion class and participate in confession every Tuesday.
Our new Chaplains, Fr. Jerry Daigle, Jr. and Fr. Raney Johnson joined Loyola at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
Fr. Daigle is originally from South Louisiana but grew up in North Central Texas. He came to the Diocese of Shreveport as a college student in 1989, and he graduated from Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) in Monroe. He is delighted to have the chance to serve the Cathedral parish and school as a at chaplian at Loyola College Prep.
Fr. Raney Johnson was a recently ordained priest for the diocese of Shreveport. He was born and raised in Shreveport and graduated from Southwood High School and Louisiana Tech University. He enjoys working with all the parents and students and helping to continue to build the great Catholic culture here at Loyola College Prep.
