Hello, welcome to Loyola College Prep! My name is Shelly Valiulis, and I am the President of Loyola Parents’ Association (LPA). The LPA is an organization that sponsors events, raises funds, and helps support students, faculty and staff at Loyola. We help the students, faculty, and families by supporting and inspiring students to be their best and to live out their mission statement of being men and women of conscience, character and compassion.

I love being an active parent at my children’s school. I have always found it rewarding to be able to give back to a school that does so much for my children and their education. My son, Charles, is a junior here at Loyola, and I have two other children, Lily ‘18 and Griffen ‘20 who are recent LCP graduates.
 
Your family is automatically a member of the LPA upon registration. Therefore, if your child is attending LCP you are already a member. 
 
Every parent has a talent, passion, skill, or time to give. What I love most about the LPA is that it provides many different ways to get involved and support Loyola. This year the LPA formed a Volunteer Committee that helps match parents with different volunteer opportunities they enjoy. We also have many other committees and places where we can put your talents to use. Click here for a list to see where you might be a good match.
 
Attending LPA sponsored events is a great way to learn about the events, meet people, and become an active part of our Flyer community. From the Style Show to Trivia Night to our monthly meetings, I hope that you will attend as many events as you can so you can meet other parents and find a way to get connected in the Flyer Family. 

LPA meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month iat noon in the Catholic Center on Fairfield (the old SVA behind the mall). The meetings are short and sweet, but contain a lot of important information. Watch for reminders in the announcements about these meetings.

I know this is going to be a great year for our school and for the LPA! I am excited about the momentum we have, and look forward to seeing you at our events this year. If you have any questions or want to learn more about ways to get involved, please let me know!
