Dear Parents/ Guardians:

Thank you for your patience during these very challenging times for our schools and for our state. Many have asked about the continuation of tuition for the remaining of the school year particularly during the time period between March 16- April 10, 2020. The following plan is in place for your child's Catholic education to continue in a way that is both of quality and of quantity. Just as we experienced our sacred mass virtually this weekend, our students will receive their instruction through the combination of Google classroom, email instruction materials, learning packets, and with access to the Louisiana Public Broadcasts, YouTube lessons, and other online opportunities orchestrated by your child's teachers. Teachers will assemble and transmit instruction in one of these formats, attendance will always be taken and there will be ongoing review and grading all completed assignments. As per Louisiana Department of Education, students who successfully complete these course assignments will receive full course credit.

Our teachers will be providing all course work daily from their school sites. The schools will provide to you "office hours" so the teachers are available to you for classwork questions. Don't be surprised that your child's classroom teacher will call you to simply "check" on your child. This is a very challenging time for all our teachers because of their love and care for their students.

Therefore, in order to continue compensating our teachers, your commitment to honoring your monthly tuition is required. Don't hesitate to reach out to your principal if you have questions.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hurry to our aide.

From the

Loyola Parents Association (LPA) President

Welcome to Loyola! You have made a great choice for your child’s education, and we are thrilled to welcome you to the Flyer Family. The next four years will be busy, challenging, rewarding and quick for both you and your child, and the LPA is here to help guide and support you every step of the way.

Throughout the year, the LPA sponsors events and raises funds which support the students, faculty and administration of Loyola and which in turn bolsters the mission of Loyola to create men and women of conscience, character and compassion. We also strive to build a strong sense of community among our students and their families throughout their years at Loyola and to that end, we encourage your involvement. One of the things that makes Loyola such an amazing place is the support and participation of the parents. The minute your child becomes a Flyer, your family automatically becomes a member of the LPA, and we hope you will find a way to volunteer and participate as well. Click the volunteer tab above to learn of some of the many ways you can become involved in the LPA.

This parent page was designed to provide you with information you may find useful throughout the year and will be constantly updated with important dates and links to LPA sponsored events such as the Back to School Pep Rally and Picnic, the Style Show, Trivia Night and more. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for, try the “Search Site” link above or simply reach out to me or any one of the committee members for additional information. See a list of our officers above as well as the list of meeting dates.

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming events listed below as well as our monthly LPA meetings. We truly hope you can attend a meeting throughout the year. The meetings are brief but informative and a great way to meet other parents. Our first event of the year will be a fun-filled Back to School Pep Rally and Picnic on August 18th at 5:30 in the Gym. We hope you to see you there! Click here to purchase tickets.

Finally, I look forward to meeting you soon and truly hope you have a wonderful 2019-2020 school year. I have heard it said and believe it true, that many hands make light the work. I hope you will choose to become involved in the LPA. We are glad you’re here. GO FLYERS!!
